It's been over a year since I've written a blog entry anywhere. I figured now would be a good time to re-do my site/blog since it had grown a bit stale.
I decided to switch over to MovableType from WordPress, for the past 3-4 years, I had been using WordPress and I liked it. But for the past year, I've been using MovableType as a content management system for a few other projects and I've grown to appreciate how MT handles templates and it's templating engine.
Granted, WordPress has a much larger online community of developers and designers who put out many more plugins and templates for WP than there are for MT, but MT has this cleanliness to how it handles CSS, and the structure of the templates.
Also, I used to scoff at the idea of having static files in a website. I was a hardcore "Dynamic Content" pusher, and everything had to be php/mysql driven and generated on the fly. Since then, I've come to see the benefits of having static files in place and not have every single page be generated off of a database query.
Well, I'll be adding more soon, so stay tuned!
